Negroni Herring - A new swedish christmas classic

Introduction

Negroni Herring - Ingredients

  • 200g herring in clear brine
  • 1 dl vinegar
  • 2 dl sugar
  • 3 dl water
  • 2 cl gin
  • 2 cl vermouth
  • 2 cl campari
  • 1/2 orange
  • 2-3 bay leaves

How-To: 

Remove the herring from the clear brine. Cut it into centimeter-thick pieces and place in a bowl. Then pour the brine back over. Wash the orange and cut into slices, add to the herring along with the bay leaves. Add gin, campari, and vermouth, as well as the brine of vinegar, sugar, and water.
